Game of Thrones is Back!

The Open
13.4 is in the books! Everyone gave 110%, again. I know that fitness is humbling; if this was the week that knocked you down a few notches, don’t get discouraged. The Open is meant to be fun; an opportunity to come together as a community, and to push YOURSELF to the limit. But the Open programming is guaranteed to do one thing: expose your weaknesses! We’ve all got them. But, guess what? You now have an entire YEAR to work those weaknesses and turn them into strengths. Last year, after those 150 wallballs, I couldn’t string double unders to save my life. Fast forward 12 months and I was able to get through 6 muscle ups after having no problem with the dubs. Now, I’m not bragging (lord knows my scores are no where near the top).  My point is that I can look back and be insanely proud about how much fitter I am today than that guy I used to be a year ago! This fitness thing is a life long journey, not a destination. Remember to enjoy that journey, and to celebrate every victory.

Paleo Naturals
This Friday (4/5), during and after the evening classes (during Open Workout 13.5), Callie will have samples of her loose granola, granola bars, ice cream, and more! Even if you WOD in the morning or aren’t planning to do 13.5, come by the gym Friday night to cheer on those of us tackling 13.5, sample some Paleo Naturals, and celebrate the end of the Open! Let’s make this into a celebration!
